National Library of Spain is aimed heritage preservation and dissemination of written or printed in Castilian or in Spain. However in recent times (I say this because we do not know at what point did the following) have occurred a series of unfortunate events in that institution. The facts are:
- A "researcher" Argentina is recommended by the Spanish ambassador in Buenos Aires.
- The individual goes to the National Library and has access to a number of incunabula.
- Was supposed special authorization and during the handling of those documents was controlled by officials of the institution.
- The above two maps of Ptolemy starts (only 120 in the world) to their books.
- The "researcher" also destroys and steals in four copies more.
- Employees are not aware of what happened and do not review the documents submitted.
- The thief stole away with what I saw and if you do not remember.
Well the first consequences were not long in coming to the irreparable damage to these priceless pieces. Rosa Regas, director of the institution, resigned under pressure from the new minister of culture, and I say again because it happened weeks before Carmen Calvo am replacing the head of the ministry. Too many coincidences.
To begin the thief is a person without morals if this really is an expert on the subject, because what he did with the books is something appalling. Surely it is a job and agreed with a client without scruples. In all likelihood, officials have not done their job or are in cahoots with the thief. Heads have rolled, but must roll over. Instead of protecting our heritage, the director has spent the Library of the Spanish political events on republicanism biased, allowing its destruction with impunity. Mrs. Regas, go to your dark lair sectarian writing garbage that has screwed up enough already.
