Royal Academy of History and Spain oceanic

I love to communicate these things, because I greatly placera attend the lecture series of Arriluce Marques de Ybarra " The ocean-century Spain and modern Spanish underwater treasure "organized by the Royal Academy of History . They will try very interesting topics, some of which are quite hot (especially for the perfidious Albion). Great initiative, finally seems to wake up to call things by their name, we feel self-conscious of propaganda against the British. Parce exaggeration on my part but take note of the topics:

  • 27/3 - Underwater archeology in Spain today. - D. Martin Almagro-Gorbea.
  • 28/3 - The Iberian Sea in the Age of Discovery. - D. Luis Suárez Fernández.
  • 31/3 - The Fleet of the Indies and the Atlantic traffic protection under the Habsburgs. - D. Carlos Martinez Shaw.
  • 2/4 - The Castilian monetary thought and the price revolution in sixteenth century Spain. - D. Jesus Manuel Gonzalez Gonzalez.
  • 4/4 - The invincibility of England and attacks the Spanish Empire. - D. Jose Alcala-Zamora and Queipo.
  • 7/4 - The Guns of Spain. - D. Jose Alcala-Zamora and Queipo.
  • 9/4 - The battle stations in a Spanish ship of the line of the eighteenth century. - D. Hugo O'Donnell, Duke of Estrada.
  • 11/4 - The underwater treasure of the Empire. - D. Juan Manuel Gracia.
  • 15/4 - The end of the great Spanish Atlantic traffic. - D. Luis Miguel Enciso Recio.
  • 18/4 - The Legacy of Spain: the glory of Spain overseas in the late XVIII - D. Gonzalo Anes and Alvarez Castrillon.

All very interesting, but is especially tricky on the evening of English invincibility and attacks on Spain. All lectures will be held at the Royal Academy of History, located on Calle Amor de Dios 2 of Madrid, always beginning at 19 hours. Admission is free but seating is limited. Not waste the opportunity to attend will not have me, because although my interest is greatest, unfortunately I can not go to the last three as I shall put forward to Cipango.

Again I write about the documentary series "Our Story at Sea" to show you a cut which is presented to the team that made the dives for such research.

The group headed by Tino Martin, who with limited means who had and overcoming adversity, has managed to reveal all the contradictions and uncertainties through a dangerous dives, which have proved essential to solving the mystery of the submarine C3 . Despite the lack of help from Spain and risking their skins have reached conclusive results will be announced soon.

It happened how could it be otherwise, our public institutions, state and regional, and private entities in the country have left totally unprotected and left the initiative of the series of 10 documentaries " Our history at sea . " The project was born and developed in the private company DL Media has a budget of 3 million euros. This amount for the release of our past on the seas has been largely covered by the said company, without any help from any ministry, autonomous region, television or Spanish bank. When the truth everyone has turned their backs on our heritage, that with which also all fill their mouths. Without going into absurd political rivalries, I will be explicit and relentless with these entities that act or omission had not complied with what they say and have even committed dereliction of duties:

  • The Ministry of Culture that its principles is the promotion and dissemination of Spanish culture, or the encouragement, promotion and management of Spanish films and audiovisual activities in its three aspects of production, distribution and exhibition, or for our protection and investment Heritage has denied the request for help to spread our greatest asset, history. However, to subsidize and spoil our cinema but there is always paste the parasiactores get heavy. Why?
  • The Ministry of Defence, also to protect ourselves should disclose the past men who gave their life for it even lazy betraying the memory of their ancestors as unworthy successors. Why?
  • The Ministry of Education, which should promote the release of any educational material, including history, should forget the lesson that would give these audiovisual. But you know in the house of wooden shoemaker, all donkeys. Why?
  • The regional ministries of education and culture, with the same functions as the ministries, have rejected the documentary because they deal exclusively in their regions. Why?
  • State and regional public television, TVE and Telemadrid as that wasted our money where among other things should spread the culture and national audiovisual material, are indifferent if the issues do not affect their political interests. Why?
  • Spanish private entities who seem to live in another country. Announce their contribution to libraries and other publicity but when they do not collaborate or water. Why?

Why so much apathy and hypocrisy? Why this initiative was not born with them? Why are developing it alone? I said we were alone, and I said wrong. There are those who support them, but beyond our borders. The Government of Colombia has shown interest in subsidizing part of the series something that is being supported by private sectors in the same country. The invaluable generosity of our Colombian brothers is a terrible embarrassment for Spain indolent whose history has to be disseminated by others. Why do we have to endure all this? Because we pay our taxes and obey as they come, we should call these petty politicians who get to work the hell out. Enough! cease to be ashamed, just as they did ask that the protagonists of the documentary, you will also comply with their duty.

Finally someone in our country gives up for our history, not based on historical memories, but "scientific facts". The Madrid company DL Multimedia rolling a documentary about Blas de Lezo made nine more, all form part of a series on Spanish maritime history. With the title "Our History in the Sea" and under the direction of marine archaeologist Tino Martin, will address ten stories, heroic, dramatic and enigmatic, ranging from our Golden Age to the Civil War. In the words of the company "the main intention is to show the world our story told by us and break the tradition of third parties that are responsible for it, usually by manipulating reality and giving a bad image to the world wrong and Spain His men, women and our culture. " And as befits a project of this magnitude really serious, put all eggs in one basket, in the recreation of the episodes, and in its documentation or on the study which will attempt the same search, observation and analysis wrecks, many as yet locate, which will surely bring great scientific relevance to the audiovisual joining the historical and informative course thereof. We are therefore faced with a most laudable initiatives and important ever made in Spain for the recovery of our history.

But this does not end there will soon be all the more juicy news. Everyone has a right to know about our past, spread the word, something is changing, pass.
